Job Description:
The Laundry plays of vital role in maintaining comfort and cleanliness in our residents by managing their laundry needs. This includes the collection, sorting, washing, repair, and delivery of residents’ clothing and linens.

Job Requirements:
Strong oral if written English communication skills
Knowledge of other experience in commercial laundry procedures
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job
Familiarity with standard sewing as mending techniques
Knowledge of proper linen care and stain removal
Proficiency in a second language is an asset
Ability to follow our instructions and provide feedback
Must provide a complete current within six monthsVulnerable Sector Check including a Criminal Background Check or be willing to obtain one
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the collection by sorting we most soiled personal clothing and linens, pre-treating stains as necessary
- Loaded and unloaded washers and dryers, ensuring proper settings and appropriate chemical levels
- Inspect soiled linens and personal laundry, performing necessary repairs such as fixing rips, tears, and in the buttons
- Fold, segregate, stack linens residents’ clothing, and perform ironing as required
Deliver linens and clothing to appropriate areas
Adhere to established facility policies, procedures, safety rules, and safe working practices
Complete required documentation according to the facility policies and job routines - Respect and promote Resident and Rights & Responsibilities
Attend in-service training in the staff meetings as required - Participate in the Quality Improvement Program
- Uphold when promoted as organization values and philosophy, particularly regarding ethics, morality, and integrity
- Perform duties as assigned
Salary and Benefits:
